Troubleshooting
Recover from connection, media, storage, generation, playback, and project problems.
fal.ai will not connect
- Confirm the pasted key is an active API-scoped fal.ai key.
- Replace the stored key if it was revoked or rotated.
- A balance lookup failure can be separate from inference authorization; try the model connection again before creating a broader key.
- Check general network access and retry after a temporary provider outage.
A generation was interrupted
Open Jobs and inspect the saved state. If VibeMe has a provider request ID, resume that saved request instead of submitting the prompt again. A new linked retry is explicit because it can create another billable request.
Media is offline or unsupported
- Reconnect the original drive and run the offline scan.
- Relink the asset to the matching source file; VibeMe verifies its fingerprint.
- For unsupported media, keep the original unchanged and create a compatible derived copy when offered.
- Do not delete or rename files inside VibeMe-managed media folders while the project is open.
Preview is slow
- Let background proxy creation finish.
- Set Program Monitor quality to Auto, 1/2, or 1/4.
- Keep source media and the project on a fast local drive when possible.
- Close other GPU-heavy applications and retry playback.
Low disk space or recovery prompt
Free space before retrying a proxy, generated download, compatible copy, or export. VibeMe uses temporary files and atomic completion so incomplete outputs are not committed as finished media.
If the app offers a recovery point after an abnormal shutdown or integrity problem, review the recovery state and restore it before continuing. Keep a backup copy of important project folders.
